
Ten Bruins Earn MPSF All-Academic Honors

WOODLAND, Calif. โ Ten members of the UCLA women's water polo team have been selected as MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athletes for the 2017 season, the conference announced Thursday. Devin Grab, Lizette Rozeboom, Kodi Hill, Nicole Reynolds, Kelsey O'Brien, Alexis Angermund, Aubrie Monahan, Alys Williams, Alexa Tielmann and Rachel Whitelegge make up the Bruin honorees.
For the second consecutive year, Grab held the top marks among UCLA's selections. The junior from So. Pasadena, Calif. (So. Pasadena HS) held a 3.612 grade-point average at the time of the announcement. Grab led eight Bruins who received either a second or third selection. Seniors Hill, O'Brien and Williams each garnered her third award, while Angermund, Grab, Monahan, Reynolds and Tielmann each earned her second. Rozeboom and Whitelegge, both sophomores, were each selected in her first year eligible.
To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must hold a 3.00 or better cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore academically, have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received and have competed in fifty percent or more of the institution's competition in his or her respective sport.
