Lefebvre-Oatis Captures Bronze at Pan Am Juniors

Rising sophomore Mikella Lefebvre-Oatis won a bronze medal in the high jump at the Pan American Junior Championships Saturday in Peru.

Lefebvre-Oatis placed third in the competition with a jump of 1.82m (5-11.5). Colombia's Maria Murillo Duarte won gold with a jump of 1.85m, and the United States' Jelena Rowe won silver with a 1.82m. Lerfebvre-Oatis' mark was just shy of her personal best of 1.85m (6-0.75), set Mar. 31 at at the Legends Invitational.

Competition concludes on Sunday with incoming freshman Alyssa Wilson looking to add to her shot put gold with another in the hammer throw, and rising sophomore Isaiah Holmes competing in the high jump. A live stream from the Championships is available on Facebook.
