Senior Max Irving scored four goals to lead the Bruins to victory.

Senior Max Irving scored four goals and senior Matt Farmer added a hat trick to lead the Bruins in scoring. Sophomore goalkeeper Alex Wolf registered seven saves in the firstย three quarters while allowing threeย scores and senior Aleksandar Ruzic saw his first action of the year, registering two stops while surrendering one goal in the final quarter.
Freshman Quintenย Osborneย scored the first goal of the game on a counter attack putting the Bruins up 1-0 (5:38). Junior Austin Rone scored on another counter (3:07) as did senior Jesse Camouย (2:25) to extend the lead to 3-0. After a goal from the front court by GW's Kerimย Sismanogluย (2:01) cut the lead to 3-1, Farmer responded with back-to-back goals from two meters (1:41 and 1:02) to end the scoring in the first with the Bruins leading 5-1.
Irving opened the scoring in the second period with a counter attack goal to push the lead to 6-1 (5:25). Atakan Destici trimmed the lead to 6-2 with a goal after an ordinary foul (4:31). Senior Jack Grover started a streak of nine consecutive goals for the Bruins with a strike from the front court (3:20) to give the Bruins a 7-2 edge. Osborne scored his second of the game with a goal at set (2:20), followed by a counter score from sophomore Eric Goldenbergย (1:33) and the Bruins were off and running. Two more counter attack goals would follow, the first by junior Kent Inoue (1:11) and the second by junior David Stiling (0:34), that ended the scoring in the second with UCLA leading 11-2.
Irving opened the third quarter on a tear, scoring three goals in a span of 1:16 (7:30, 7:05 and 6:14) to put the Bruins up 15-2. Freshman Nicolas Saveljic ended the nine-consecutive goals for the Bruins with a power play goal (4:18) that put UCLA up 15-2. Andras Levaiย scored after a five-meter foul (3:59) to cut the lead to 15-3. But the Bruins answered with four more consecutive goals. Freshman Chasen Travisanoย scored on a counter (2:38) and Grover netted his second of the game on a power play (0:05) to end the scoring in the third quarter with the Bruins leading 17-3.
Travisanoย opened the fourth with his second goal of the contest (4:40) with an exclusion goal to put UCLA up 18-3. Farmer completed his hat trick with a goal at two meters (2:15) to give the Bruins a 19-3 advantage. Levaiย added his second of the game on a GW power play (0:24) to cut the lead to 19-4. Inoue scored his second of the game on a nice drive and finish (0:02) to provide the 20-4 final.
