Tavatanakit Named Pac-12 Golfer of the Month

SAN FRANCISCO - Freshman Patty Tavatanakit was named Pac-12 Conference Golfer of the Month for April on Wednesday after winning both of her tournaments.

Tavatanakit was the co-medalist at the Silverado Showdown (April 8-10) and then won a one-hole playoff against teammate Lilia Vu to be crowned the winner of the Pac-12 Championships (April 22-24). The freshman shot 8-under 208 in both events, finishing under par in all six rounds.

Tavatanakit, who has three victories on the season and is a combined 22-under in 21 rounds in her freshman campaign, earned her first Pac-12 Golfer of the Month award and the Bruins' fourth this season. Vu was Pac-12 GOM for November 2017, February and March.

The top-ranked Bruins travel to the NCAA San Francisco Regional at TPC Harding Park (May 7-9).
