LOS ANGELES – UCLA Football will play host to the Washington Huskies this Saturday, October 6 at the Rose Bowl Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. PT.
For UCLA vs. Washington Gameday presented by Toyo Tires, parking lots will open at 10:30 a.m. Fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and pre-purchase parking online here for $5 off on-site pricing.
The Rose Bowl offers one of the best tailgating experiences in college football, with a variety of options for pre-game celebrations. This season, Blockparty, a fan-focused hospitality and entertainment company will offer an expanded menu of customizable tailgating options in two locations, featuring both basic and all-inclusive choices. From bellhop service and tailgate attendants to catering options, tailgate games and event-day service via Blockparty's SMS on-demand service platform FanTextTM, fans can create and customize the tailgate experience that's perfect for their group.
The new and improved Fan Zone in Lot H opens at 12:15 p.m., offering a wide variety of public activities and photo opportunities, including a new inflatable couch and giant inflatable Cornhole. Fans should also be sure to check out the UCLA/Under Armour Photo Booth at Gate A. In addition, following @UCLAGameday on Twitter is the best way to receive the most up to date information on gameday at the Rose Bowl.
This Saturday, Pac-12 Network brings its new show The Pregame to the Rose Bowl. The live show will take place on a set located outside Gate A from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., featuring stories that highlight multiple UCLA Athletics programs, as well as other notable stories from around campus. UCLA Gymnastics Head Coach Valorie Kondos Field will be interviewed live on set. Fans are encouraged to stop by.
Rose Bowl gates open at 3:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to enter the Rose Bowl early. As a reminder, enhanced screening procedures, including the use of electronic security equipment at all gates, have been implemented at UCLA Football games. The Clear Bag Policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the Rose Bowl. The policy is designed to provide more consistent screening and to expedite fan entry.
The first 5,000 UCLA students through the gates will receive a clear bag, courtesy of AAA Auto Club of Southern California.
This season, the Rose Bowl, in partnership with concessionaire Levy Restaurants, has introduced new dining offerings including Carmela Ice Cream, Poke Nachos, Border Grill and much more. Fans can also find value-priced concessions in two locations. Value-priced $3 nachos and hot dogs and discounted fountain beverages will be on sale near tunnels 8 and 21.
Saturday's Honorary Captain is Pro Football Hall of Famer and former UCLA first-team All-American Jonathan Ogden. Ogden, a four-year starter at left tackle for the Bruins, earned consensus All-America honors in 1995 and was twice selected All-Pac-10 (1994, 95). He was drafted fourth overall by the Baltimore Ravens in the 1996 NFL Draft and played 12 NFL seasons, during which he was selected to play in 11 Pro Bowls, and also played in the 2001 Super Bowl. His UCLA jersey was retired in 1997, and he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
Fans should be in their seats by 4:00 p.m. to witness pregame festivities, which include a National Anthem performance by the UCLA Marching Band, and an eight-plane flyover by the Tiger Squadron.
At halftime, the newest class of inductees into the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame will be recognized on the field. This group comprises Nikki Blue (Women's Basketball), Kevin Chappel (Men's Golf), Lynn "Buck" Compton (Baseball, Football), Larry Farmer (Men's Basketball Player & Coach), Amanda Freed (Softball), Jenny Johnson Jordan (Women's Volleyball, Beach Volleyball Assistant Coach), Eric Lindroth (Men's Water Polo), and Stella Sampras Webster (Women's Tennis Player & Coach). They will have been inducted into the Hall of Fame the night prior during a ceremony on campus.
Also during halftime, the UCLA Marching Band will perform, along with the high school bands participating in High School Band Day. Other breaks during the game will feature a recognition of the NCAA Champion Beach Volleyball team and a Junior Spirit performance.
Tickets purchased in advance of Saturday's game start at less than $30 and can be purchased at www.UCLABruins.com/tickets. New this season, as part of UCLA's new, comprehensive military appreciation ticket program, active duty members of the military, veterans and their families can purchase tickets for all regular-season UCLA home sporting events at half price. For football, the 50 percent discount will be offered at two different seat locations and price points. In partnership with GovX, these specially-priced tickets may be purchased in advance online. A limited number of military appreciation tickets are on sale now at www.uclabruins.com/military.
As a reminder, the new and improved UCLA Bruins Mobile App is now available for download on iTunes and Google Play.
