Pickett Named Lott IMPACT Trophy POW

NEWPORT BEACH, CA.ย โ UCLA's Adarius Pickett has been named the Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week.
The senior defensive back from Richmond, Ca. had a career-high 16 tackles and an interception in UCLA's game last week againstย No. 10-rankedย Washington. It was the fourth double-digit tackle game of the season for Pickett (13 vs. Fresno State, 12 at Oklahoma, 15 vs. Cincinnati), who now has seven career double-digit games. He ranks second in the Pac-12 Conference in total tackles/game (12.2 average) and seventh in the NCAA. His total of 16 tackles is tied for the second-most in a game this season by a Pac-12 player. For the season, Pickettย has 61 total tackles, 24 more than any other Bruin.
A Political Science and African American Studies major, he has been named to the Athletic Director Honor Roll multiple times and has an impressive record of community service outreach. UCLA will receive $1,000 for its general scholarship fund in recognition of his performance. The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation sponsors the Lott IMPACT Trophy and has donated more than $1.5 million to universities and charities throughout the country.

Chancy Gardner-Johnson, DB, Florida:ย Had 11 tackles, 1.5 for losses in win over LSU.
David Long Jr., LB, West Virginia:ย Had 10 tackles, one sack and one pass defended in win over Kansas.
Anthony Nelson, DL, Iowa:ย Had 3 sacks (19 yards in losses) and 5 total tackles vs. Minnesota.
Ed Oliver, DL, Houston:ย Led team with 13 tackles, 1.5 tackles for losses and a quarterback hurry.
