Six Bruins Earn All-MPSF Honors

WOODLAND, Calif.ย โ Six UCLA Bruins earned All-MPSFย accolades, led by redshirt junior goalkeeper Alex Wolf's first team selection, as announced by the league office late this afternoon.
Two Bruins were named to the second team All-MPSF and included sophomore attacker Nicolas Saveljicย and sophomore utility Evan Rosenfeld.
Three more Bruins, senior attacker David Stiling, sophomore center Quinten Osborneย and freshman attacker Jake Cavano garnered honorable mention All-MPSF accolades.
UCLA head coach Adam Wright has guided the Bruins to a 20-3 record and a No. 2 national ranking heading into the postseason. The Bruins are seeded fourth for this week's MPSFย Championship at USC and will begin play on Friday, Nov. 16 at 3:00 p.m. PT against the winner of Penn State Behrend and Austin College, which will be contested at 9:00 a.m. PT.
Wolf is second in the league in goals against average at 7.05 and sixth in the MPSF in saves at 10.16 saves per game.
Saveljic leads the Bruins in scoring with 42 goals, which ranks 11th in the league at 1.83 goals per game whileย Rosenfeldย is tied for 11th on the team in scoring with 11 goals.
Cavano leads the team in goals per game at 1.93, which ranks 8th in the MPSF. Osborne is second on the squad with 34 goals and his 1.48 goals per game average ranks 16th in the league. Stilingย is tied for 17thย on the team in scoring with six goals on the year.
In other league award announcements, Stanford's John Vargas was named MPSFย Coach of the Year and the Cardinal's redshirt sophomore center Ben Hallock was named MPSF Player of the Year. USC freshman driver Hannes Daube was named MPSF Newcomer of the Year.
