Fans can also find value-priced concessions in two locations. Value-priced $3 nachos and hot dogs and discounted fountain beverages are on sale near tunnels 8 and 21.
Saturday's Honorary Captain is former NFL and UCLA Head Coach Dick Vermeil. During his two seasons (1974-75) at UCLA, Vermeil led the Bruins to a 15-5-3 record, including a 9-2-1 record in 1975. That year, UCLA won its first conference championship in 10 years and beat undefeated and top-ranked Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. Vermeil spent 15 seasons as an NFL Head Coach, guiding the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl in 1980. Twenty years later, he returned to the Super Bowl in 2000, coaching the St. Louis Rams to victory that year. Vermeil was inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame in 2014.
Fans should be in their seats by 11:30 a.m. to witness pregame festivities, which include a National Anthem performance by the UCLA Marching Band, a seven-plane flyover, and the annual Senior Salute pregame ceremony. Halftime will feature performances by both teams' marching bands.
