
Sophomore guard Jaylen Hands of the UCLA men's basketball team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 26-Dec. 2.
Hands averaged 10.5 points and 10.5 assists per game in UCLA's two victories last week. He tallied a career-high 11 assists in the team's 80-61 win over Hawai'i on Nov. 28. Four nights later, he had 17 points and 10 assists, marking his first career double-double, in the Bruins' 82-58 victory against Loyola Marymount. Hands enters the week as the Pac-12 leader in total assists (50) and assists per game (6.3).
This is Hands' first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week award this season and of his career.
