Mace entered the game for Tierna Davidson in the 59th minute with the U.S. up 4-2 and helped keep Mexico off the board for the remainder of the game while the offense scored two more goals. Mace, Tegan McGrady and Haley Hanson each earned their first career caps in the match.

The 2017 first-team All-American and MAC Hermann Trophy finalist led UCLA in scoring last season with 15 goals and 33 points. Mace played her first two seasons at UCLA as a defender before being moved to forward during her standout junior year. She has started in 62 consecutive games for the Bruins.
Mace is one of two Bruins on the current squad who have earned a national team cap, joining Women's World Cup and Olympic veteran Jessie Fleming, who has totaled 51 caps with the Canadian Women's National Team.
