The Rose Bowl, recently named college football's greatest stadium by Sports Illustrated, offers one of the best tailgating experiences in college football, with a variety of options for pre-game celebrations. New this year, Rose Bowl Concessionaire, Levy Restaurants, will be operating the brand-new "Country Store" in the Arroyo Tailgate area on the golf course, adjacent to the Brookside clubhouse. This will be a go-to stop for all fans' tailgating needs. No need to worry about leaving something at home.
The Fan Zone in Lot H opens at 9:00 a.m., offering a wide variety of public activities and photo opportunities. The Victory Bell will be available for fan photo opportunities pregame in the Fan Zone adjacent to the UCLA Store, then in the Court of Champions inside Gate A through halftime. Fans should also be sure to check out the UCLA/Under Armour Photo Booth, also at Gate A.
Continuing in 2019, the UCLA Football team will arrive to the Rose Bowl via Arroyo Blvd. where they will depart the bus outside Gate A. Fans are encouraged to cheer on the Bruins as they arrive for a modified Bruin Walk along the west side of Arroyo. Tentative timing is planned for 2.5 hours prior to kick-off, but fans should follow @UCLAGameday on Twitter for the most up to date information, and all their Rose Bowl gameday needs.
UCLA Athletics is proud to join our institution in celebrating UCLA's Centennial all season long. The football team will mark the Centennial with a UCLA 100 helmet sticker for every game, and a UCLA 100 jersey patch for all home games. Saturday has been designated as the Centennial Celebration game, featuring a number of in-game elements looking back on our first 100 years.
Rose Bowl gates open at 11:45 a.m. Season Ticket Holders can pick up their Centennial-themed Season Ticket Holder Pins at Gate A and Gate N. A Centennial Celebration Poster that features fan-submitted images from throughout UCLA's historic 100 years will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 10,000 fans wearing Powderkeg Blue.
Fans are encouraged to enter the Rose Bowl early. The first 6,000 fans to enter on Saturday will receive a McDonald's voucher good for one free breakfast sandwich. As a reminder, enhanced screening procedures, including the use of electronic security equipment at all gates, have been implemented at UCLA Football games. The Clear Bag Policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the Rose Bowl. The policy is designed to provide more consistent screening and to expedite fan entry.
New this season, the Rose Bowl, in partnership with concessionaire Levy Restaurants, introduces more than 10 new concession items to the menu throughout the stadium. Additions include Acai Bowls, Continental Empanadas, "The Arroyo" Turkey Sandwich, and a Beyond Bratwurst – a great vegan option for fans.
Saturday's Honorary Captain is Kevin Jordan, who lettered four seasons at wide receiver for the Bruins from 1992-95. He earned All-America recognition in 1994 after leading the Pac-10 with a then-school-record total 1,228 receiving yards. Jordan also set a school mark with 73 receptions during his junior campaign, eventually becoming the first Bruin to record 40 or more catches in three seasons. He completed his career ranked No. 1 at UCLA with 179 receptions and 2,548 receiving yards. Jordan went on to the NFL, spending time with the Cincinnati Bengals, Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos from 1996-1998.
Fans should be in their seats by 12:45 p.m. to witness pregame festivities including a performance by the U.S. Marine Corps Band, and a flyover by the Tiger Squadron. Halftime will feature a performance by the United Spirit Association and the San Diego State Marching Band.
