Six Bruins Earn All-MPSF Accolades

WOODLAND, Calif. – Six UCLA Bruins earned All-MPSF accolades as announced by the league office late this afternoon. UCLA was led by junior utility Felix Brozyna-Vilim and sophomore attacker Ashworth Molthen, who were both named to the first team for the first time in their careers.

Three Bruins were named to the second team All-MPSF which included junior attacker Nicolas Saveljic, sophomore attacker Jake Cavano, and redshirt senior goalkeeper Alex Wolf.

Freshman attacker Tommy Gruwell garnered honorable mention All-MPSF honors.

UCLA head coach Adam Wright has guided the Bruins to a 16-3 record and a No. 3 national ranking heading into the postseason. The Bruins are seeded third for this week's MPSF Championship at California and will begin play on Friday, Nov. 22 at 1:00 p.m. PT against the loser of Penn State Behrend and Austin College, which will be contested at 9:00 a.m. PT.

In other league award announcements, Stanford's John Vargas was named MPSF Coach of the Year and the Cardinal's redshirt junior center Ben Hallock was named MPSF Player of the Year for the second straight season. California freshman center Nikolaos Papanikolaou was named MPSF Newcomer of the Year.
