Freshman forward Mia Fishel of the UCLA women's soccer team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 18-24.
Fishel scored three goals, including both game-winners, in UCLA's NCAA Tournament victories this weekend. The Bruins defeated Clemson by a 5-0 count in the second round and Wisconsin 2-0 in the third round to advance to the quarterfinals for the third consecutive year. Against Clemson, Fishel got the ball rolling with a goal just 4:29 into the game and then added a second goal at 74:25 to record her third multiple-goal game of the season. In the win over No. 3 seed Wisconsin, Fishel broke a scoreless tie at halftime with an unassisted goal in the 49th minute.
