The Rose Bowl, recently named college football's greatest stadium by Sports Illustrated, offers one of the best tailgating experiences in college football, with a variety of options for pre-game celebrations. New this year, Rose Bowl Concessionaire, Levy Restaurants, is operating the brand-new "Country Store" in the Arroyo Tailgate area on the golf course, adjacent to the Brookside clubhouse. This is a go-to stop for all fans' tailgating needs. No need to worry about leaving something at home.
The Fan Zone in Lot H opens at 3:15 p.m., offering a wide variety of public activities and photo opportunities. Fans should be sure to check out the UCLA/Under Armour Photo Booth at Gate A.
The UCLA Football team will arrive at the Rose Bowl via Arroyo Blvd. where they will depart the bus outside Gate A. Fans are encouraged to cheer on the Bruins along the west side of Arroyo. Tentative timing is planned for 2.5 hours prior to kick-off, but fans should follow @UCLAGameday on Twitter for the most up to date information, and all their Rose Bowl gameday needs.
UCLA Athletics is proud to join our institution in celebrating UCLA's Centennial all season long. The football team will mark the Centennial with a UCLA 100 helmet sticker for every game, and a UCLA 100 jersey patch for all home games.
Rose Bowl gates open at 6:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to enter the Rose Bowl early. The first 4,000 fans to enter on Saturday will receive a McDonald's voucher good for one free breakfast sandwich. As a reminder, enhanced screening procedures, including the use of electronic security equipment at all gates, have been implemented at UCLA Football games. The Clear Bag Policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the Rose Bowl. The policy is designed to provide more consistent screening and to expedite fan entry.
For the final home game of the season, UCLA is partnering with Ronald McDonald House on a charity toy drive. Fans are urged to bring new and unwrapped toys in their original packaging to any Rose Bowl entry gate on Saturday. Everyone who donates a toy will receive a voucher to redeem a pair of tickets to either a UCLA Men's or Women's Basketball game.
Saturday marks the 2019 Senior Salute. The first 10,000 people to enter the stadium wearing PowderKeg Blue will receive a set of UCLA Football Senior Trading Cards. In addition, the first 5,000 fans will receive a rally towel courtesy of AAA.
The Rose Bowl, in partnership with concessionaire Levy Restaurants, introduced more than 10 new concession items to the menu throughout the stadium this season. Additions include Acai Bowls, Continental Empanadas, "The Arroyo" Turkey Sandwich, and a Beyond Bratwurst – a great vegan option for fans. Fans can also find value-priced concessions in two locations. Value-priced $3 nachos and hot dogs and discounted fountain beverages will be on sale near tunnels 8 and 21.
Saturday's Honorary Captain is former offensive lineman Mike Hartmeier (1982-85), who was a key part of one of the most successful stretches in UCLA football history. Bruin teams posted a 35-10-3 overall record during his time, capturing three conference titles, finishing in the top 10 of the final AP poll on three occasions and winning four straight New Year's Day bowl games, including three Rose Bowl Games. A starter during each of his four seasons, Hartmeier served as a team captain his senior year for a squad that finished seventh in the poll after beating fourth-ranked Iowa in the Rose Bowl. Individually, he was named an All-Pac-10 First-Team honoree after UCLA turned in the ninth-best rushing offense in school history. Hartmeier was also a standout in the classroom, earning CoSIDA Academic All-America and All-District honors.
Fans should be in their seats by 7:00 p.m. to witness pregame festivities, which include a National Anthem performance by the UCLA Marching Band and the annual Senior Salute pregame ceremony. Halftime also will feature a performance by the UCLA Marching Band.
Tickets for Saturday's game are still available and can be purchased at www.UCLABruins.com/tickets. UCLA Athletics is proud to present an affordable option for kids; Youth General Admission tickets may be purchased for only $5 from the Rose Bowl Box Office on gameday.
