UCLA extended its 25-16 halftime lead to 11, 30-19, on a Dean three-pointer before Indiana went on a 12-4 run to close to within three, 34-31, with 3:37 left in the third. Onyenwere's turn-around jumper at 2:59 stopped the run and put UCLA ahead 36-31.
The Hoosiers (10-2) twice pulled to within two late in the third, but Onyenwere hit a buzzer-beating jumper just before the quarter ended to give the Bruins a five-point advantage going into the fourth.
Indiana cut the lead to one at 7:49 on a layup by Mackenzie Holmes, but an and-one by Miller at 7:23 after her second-straight offensive board gave UCLA breathing room, 49-45. Charisma Osborne's three at 3:47 made it 58-52, and Dean followed with a layup to increase UCLA's lead to 60-52. The Hoosiers never got closer than six after that.
