UCLA to Battle No. 2 Oregon on Friday in Eugene

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women's basketball team will seek its first top-10 win of the season when the Bruins travel to Eugene, Ore., to face No. 2 Oregon on Friday. Tip-off at Matthew Knight Arena is set for 8:06 p.m. (PT) on the Pac-12 Networks (Oregon, Los Angeles).

Friday marks the 69th meeting all-time between UCLA and Oregon. The Bruins lead the series, 36-32; however, the Ducks have won five in a row. In the last meeting on Jan. 13, Oregon never trailed in a 72-52 win over UCLA. The Ducks opened the fourth quarter with a 15-2 run to pull away and go up 72-44, and the Bruins got no closer than 10 in the third frame. Oregon used a 47-29 advantage on the glass to get the win. Michaela Onyenwere scored 13 points, while Japreece Dean had 11 points and six assists. In the last matchup in Eugene, UCLA rallied from a 16-point halftime deficit to force overtime before ultimately falling short, 101-94.
UCLA's Last Time Out
UCLA got a career-high 28 points from senior Japreece Dean in an 80-74 win over California on Feb. 17.
The Bruins led by as many as 14 points and had to hold off a late rally by the Bears. UCLA went 21-for-23 from the free throw line and saw sophomore Michaela Onyenwere finish with 23 points, her fourth-straight 20-plus point performance.
