Ross, Flatley Honored by Pac-12

Kyla Ross's reign as Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week continues for the fourth-straight week, and freshman Norah Flatley was honored for the first time as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week.
Ross won her fifth Gymnast of the Week title this season after winning the all-around with a score of 39.775 at Utah. Ross remains unbeaten in all-around action, notching her seventh win of the season in the Bruins' 198.025-197.625 victory in Salt Lake City, UCLA's first at Utah in 16 years. Ranked No. 1 in the nation in the all-around and uneven bars, Ross recorded her fifth perfect 10 of the year and 10th of her career with a 10.0 on uneven bars. She also tied for first on beam with a 9.950 for her third consecutive beam win, and she also tied for third on vault with a 9.925 and for fourth on floor with a 9.900. Ross has totaled six Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week honors in her career.
Flatley contributed a pair of 9.9+ scores at Utah, including a clutch 9.900 on balance beam after a teammate had fallen. Needing to hit her routine to maintain the lead, Flatley delivered with a career-high-tying score. UCLA won the meet by four-tenths of a point. Earlier in the meet, she scored 9.925 on uneven bars to help the Bruins take an early lead with a team total of 49.550 on the event. Flatley ranks 13th in the nation on both bars and beam.
Joining the two Bruins in winning a Pac-12 weekly award is Specialist of the Week Kaitlyn Yanish of Oregon State.
No. 2 UCLA will compete at No. 1 Oklahoma on Sunday, Mar. 3 at 12pm CT/10am PT in a meet that will be televised live on ESPN.
