Caleb Wilson Selected by Cardinals in NFL Draft

Tight end Caleb Wilson went off the board in the seventh round on Saturdayย to the Arizona Cardinalsย on day threeย of the 2019 NFL Draft held in Nashville.
This past season, Wilson led the UCLA team in receptions (60) and receiving yards (965), the highest totals ever by a Bruin tight end. He finished the season leading the nation's FBS tight ends in receptions per game (5.0), receiving yards per game (80.4) and total receiving yards (965). Wilson ranked tied for 10th among all Pac-12 receivers in receptions per game and was fifth among all league receivers with an 80.4 receiving yards per game average. He compiled three 100-yard receiving games for the season (102 yards-Washington, 164-Arizona State, 184-Stanford) and caught 14 passes for a gain of at least 20 yards over the course of the campaign. His total of 60 catches tied for 11th-best on the all-time UCLA season list and his total of 965 receiving yards rates 11th on that school list. Wilson is 19thย on the all-time UCLA career receiving yards list with a total of 1,675 yards. His total of 114 career catches is the 18th-best mark in school history.
Following the 2018 season, Wilson was named second-team All-America by the Sporting News and CBS Sports.com and was a fourth-team pick by Phil Steele. The league coaches, ESPN.com and Associated Press voted him to their first-team All-Pac-12 squad. Wilson was also a semi-finalist for the John Mackey Award which recognizes the nation's top tight end.
Wilson is the 19th Bruin to be selected in the past four NFL Drafts which is the second-highest totalย of any Pac-12 school during that period.
