National Champion Bruins Honored at Dodger Stadium

Members of the National Champion Bruins were honored at Dodger Stadium on Monday, June 17, as senior Stevie Wisz threw out the ceremonial first pitch to Dodger closer Kenley Jansen. Below are highlights of the festivities.

Yesterday I was extremely blessed to be able to do something that every girl and boy dreams of when they were little… I got to throw out the first pitch at a Dodger Game! And what it made it even more special is that I got to throw it to a fellow member of the cardiac club, someone I really look up to: @kenleyjansen74 . . When I first met Kenley last night in person, our hearts instantly connected. @kenleyjansen74 has had heart problems too, yet he is a prime example of how we can all comeback stronger from adversity. Heart disease has nothing on these two members of the cardiac club! . . When I decided to delay my surgery until after I graduated I was uneasy about the decision, however, talking with Kenley last night reassured me that I made the right decision so I could enjoy moments like these with my teammates! . . Words cannot express how grateful I am for the support & prayers I am receiving from everyone. You all inspire me more than you know and I hope posts like these can inspire you all to achieve your dreams no matter what the circumstances are! ??
