Twelve Bruins Earn ACWPC All-Academic Honors

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. โ Twelve members of the UCLA women's water polo team garnered ACWPC All-Academic Awards for 2019, the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced. The Bruins also earned team recognition for completing the campaign with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
Grace Reego was tops among the UCLA individual honorees with an "Outstanding" designation. Five Bruins collected "Superior" nods, while six others rounded out the group with "Excellent" awards.
Redshirt senior Reego posted a GPA of 3.71-4-0 for the first time in her career to earn the top individual honor. Previously, she had twice earned "Superior" accolades.
Seniors Lizette Rozeboom and Allison Wieseler completed their UCLA careers with a third straight academic honor and a second-straightย "Superior" nod, an honor that rewards GPAs of 3.41-3.70. For the second year in a row, meanwhile, sophomore Lexi Liebowitzย earned a membershipย into the prestigious club. Freshmen Katrina Drake and Faith Dunn also capped their debut campaigns withย nationalย accolades.
Each of the remaining six honorees earned "Excellent" awards from the ACWPC. Juniors Bronte Halligan and Maddie Musselman each posted a GPA of 3.20-3.40. It was Musselman's third-straight "Excellent" honor and the second for Halligan after she posted "Superior" accolades as a freshman. Senior Louise Hazell earned ACWPCย All-Academic honors for the third time, earning "Excellent" honors in 2019 and 2018 and "Superior" honors in 2017. Sophomore Roxy Wheaton earned her second straight honor after earning "Superior" plaudits in 2018. Freshmen Ava Johnson and Bella Wentzel each earned their first awards from the ACWPC.
