LOS ANGELES โ Kennedy Burke put the finishing touches on one of the more impressive rookie seasons of the 2019 WNBA campaign on Sunday evening.

The Indiana Fever capped its campaign in style, taking down one of the top teams in the league in the Connecticut Sun by a 104-76 margin. In 27 minutes, Burke scored 10 points, snagged five boards, had two blocks and dished out four assists.

Now, Burke will take her talents to Turkey, where she'll play professionally for Bellona Kayseri Basketbol (KBSL). Burke will face a quick turnaround, as she departs for Turkey on Sept. 15. KBSL will begin its season on Oct. 12 against Mersin BSB.ย

Burke started seven games during her inaugural WNBA season in Indianapolis. She went from being cut by the Dallas Wings in late May prior to the season to becoming one of the most impactful, dynamic plays for the Fever.

In 31 games, Burke made seven starts and averaged 4.4 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 13.6 minutes per outing. On June 9, she erupted for a career-high 18 points against Phoenix, and she had a career-high four blocks against Los Angeles in her homecoming on Aug. 22.

The Fever just missed the playoffs this season, finishing in ninth place behind the Phoenix Mercury. Round one of the WNBA Playoffs begins on Sept. 11.
