Daishen Nix Selected to McDonald's All-American Game

LOS ANGELES – UCLA men's basketball signee Daishen Nix has been selected to compete in the 43rd McDonald's All-American Game in Houston on Wednesday, April 1.
This will mark the 12th McDonald's All-America Game in 15 years in which the Bruins' program has had at least one player participate. Most recently, Moses Brown competed in the McDonald's All-American Game in 2018, while Kris Wilkes and Jaylen Hands played in the game in 2017.
Nix is among 24 elite high school boys' basketball players who have been selected to the rosters for the upcoming McDonald's All-American Game.

He has become the 45th high school player signed by UCLA to secure McDonald's All-America acclaim (@McDAAG).

Nix, a 6-foot-5 point guard, currently resides in Las Vegas and competes for Trinity International High School. Most recently, Nix has been rated the No. 11 player in his high school class by 247Sports.com and No. 14 by Rivals.com. He's currently ranked the No. 1 point guard prospect in the nation, by 247Sports.com.
Earlier during this basketball season, Nix registered 45 points in a 99-94 victory against Phoenix Prep and he tallied 36 points in a 61-57 win against Findlay Prep (Nevada).
As a junior at Trinity International last season, Nix averaged 19.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game in the Grind Session Circuit, a league that's comprised of prep schools across the nation. During his sophomore and junior seasons, he led Trinity International back-to-back NSCAA Division I Championships.
