UCLA (0-0) will open the 2020 season by traveling to play at Colorado (0-0) in a Pac-12 Conference matchup on Saturday, November 7 at Folsom Field. It will be the latest start to a season by a Bruin football team. The game will be televised by ESPN2. The Bruin IMG Radio Network will broadcast the contest, which will also be aired over SiriusXM, uclabruins.com and tunein.com and the TuneIn App. The last Bruin win (31-14) was a decision over Colorado in game nine of the 2019 season in a game played at the Rose Bowl. The Bruins scored on their first three possessions of the contest while taking a 17-0 lead. The Bruins ran for 200 yards and Dorian Thompson-Robinson threw for 226 in a balanced attack.

UCLA is 65-31-5 all time in season openers. The Bruins have split the last four season-opening road contests -- 2019 loss at Cincinnati (14-24), 2016 loss at Texas A&M (24-31, OT), 2014 win at Virginia (28-20), 2012 win at Rice (49-24).

The Bruins own an 11-4 overall advantage (4-3 edge in games played in Boulder) in the series against Colorado, which started in 1980. UCLA has dropped the last two meetings played at Folsom Field (in 2018, 16-38 and in 2016, 10-20). The last Bruin victory at Colorado came in double overtime in 2014 (40-37). UCLA captured last year's battle in the Rose Bowl by a score of 31-14 for its last win of 2019. Colorado coach Karl Dorrell was a wide receiver at UCLA from 1982-86 and head coach of the Bruins from 2003-2007 (35-27, five bowl appearances). His first game as Bruin coach was at Colorado in 2003 (a 16-14 Colorado win).

• UCLA rated second in the nation in 2019 in punt-return average with a mark of 22.5 yards per return ... Philips had three returns of 30 or more yards, including a 69-yard run back for a touchdown at Washington State.
• The Bruins had 75 receptions by running backs in 2019 (led by Felton's 55) after totaling 45 in 2018 season (27 by Joshua Kelley).
• Felton's 75-yard run vs. Oregon State was his fourth touchdown of at least 75 yards for the campaign, which is the most ever by a Bruin in a single season (Matthew Slater, 2007, was most recent Bruin with three in a season) ... Felton also had a 75-yard reception at Cincinnati, a 94-yard reception at Washington State and a 100-yard kickoff return at Washington State.
• The Bruins rushed for at least 200 yards in five straight games before Utah snapped that streak in 2019: 200 vs. Colorado, 217 vs. Arizona State, 263 at Stanford, 256 against Oregon State and 217 at Arizona ... The last time the Bruins rushed for over 200 in more than 5 straight was 1978 (six straight).
• S Stephan Blaylock ranked 18th in the NCAA in solo tackles (5.4 per gane) ... He had at least six in nine of 12 games in 2019, with a high of 11 stops at USC.
• DL Osa Odighizuwa's 10.0 tackles for loss in 2019 was the most by a Bruin interior lineman since Kenny Clark (now with Green Bay Packers) registered 11.0 in 2015 season.
• In 2019, Philips led UCLA with 60 receptions, the most ever in a single season by a Bruin freshman/redshirt freshman ... He was the first redshirt freshman to lead a Bruin team in receptions since 2001, when Craig Bragg topped the Bruins' list.
• Eighteen of 22 starters in final game of 2019 vs. Cal made their first-career starts at that position in 2018 or 2019, including all 11 players on offense.
• LG Duke Clemens and LT Sean Rhyan started together in Game 5 at Arizona (and then for the balance of the 2019 season) ... It marked the first time the Bruins have had two true freshmen starting on the O-line in a game since 2013, when Alex Redmond started all 13 games at RG and was joined in Game 5 by RT Caleb Benenoch ... Scott Quessenberry came on to start at LG in Game 6 to make it three for the balance of that season ... All three are currently on NFL rosters.
• Felton had his first career 100-yard rushing game (111) against the Oregon State and a 150-yard receiving effort last season at Washington State ... The last Bruin with 100-yard rushing (Northwestern) and receiving games (Arizona State) in the same season was RB Chris Markey in 2005 ... Felton had a season-high 263 all-purpose yards at Washington State.
• UCLA held Stanford under 200 yards of total offense in 2019, which marked first time Bruin team limited opponent to 200 yards or fewer since a 2009 win at Washington State ... Stanford's 55 rushing yards were the fewest a Bruin team had allowed since a 2016 game at BYU (23).
• Rhyan became the first true freshman to start a season opener (Cincinnati) at offensive tackle since Simon Goines did so at Rice in 2012 ... He was one of just eight true freshmen opening-game starters along the offensive line in the nation in 2019.
• Felton tallied 55 receptions to move past George Farmer's old school mark of 36 (1969) by a running back in the Colorado game and become the all-time season receptions leader for the position. Felton finished second on the team in receptions and fell short of becoming the first Bruin running back to lead a team in receptions since 2006 (Markey, 35 receptions). His 55 receptions ranked second nationally (tied) for running backs.
• UCLA owned a halftime lead in four games in 2019 and won three of those contests.
• Four of the top five receptions leaders return for the Bruins: No. 1 Philips (60), No. 2 Felton (55), No. 4 Jaylen Erwin (32) and No. 5 Chase Cota (25).
