In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the Pac-12 Conference today announced the cancellation of the 2020 Men's Basketball Conference Tournament, as well as the cancellation of all Pac-12 member institution conference and non-conference competitions and championship events until further notice. Additionally, the NCAA announced the cancellation of all winter and spring championships.
While there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the UCLA campus at this time, as a result of these announcements, and out of the continued prioritization of the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and staff, UCLA Athletics today implemented the following measures:
- All practices and athletically-related team activities have been suspended through at least Sunday, March 29, 2020
- All on- and off-campus recruiting and recruiting-related travel have been suspended until further notice
- All on- and off-campus camps and clinics have been suspended until further notice
As UCLA announced earlier this week, as of Wednesday, March 11, campus transitioned to remote learning platforms through at least April 10, 2020. UCLA Athletics will continue to closely to monitor the situation as well as recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Moving forward, we will continue to take guidance from campus, the conference and the NCAA, and any future changes to the above measures will be made in conjunction with those partners.

UCLA Athletics Update โ 3/4/2020
UCLA is closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19 (also known as novel coronavirus). Although there is a public health threat, the individual risk for members of the American public is low at this time. UCLA departments including the Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center are working closely with local, state and national officials.
UCLA Athletics is in regular communication with campus entities, and is monitoring developments from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, as well as following University of California travel guidelines.
Classes, events and campus operations, including all scheduled athletic competitions, continue as usual. No other action has been recommended at this time, but the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and patrons are our top priority. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and we will work together with campus officials to make any changes deemed necessary with that priority in mind. Scheduled meet-and-greets and public autograph sessions with UCLA student-athletes have been postponed until further notice.
We remind guests to continue to take preventative actions advised by the CDC to help stop the spread of germs, including washing hands frequently, for at least 20 seconds, containing coughs into a tissue or sleeve and staying home if you are sick, especially if you have a respiratory illness and fever.
