
Eight Bruins Earn MPSF All-Academic Honors

WOODLAND, Calif. โ Eight members of the UCLA women's water polo team earned MPSF All-Academic honors in 2020, the league announced today.
The eight Bruins on the listย are highlighted by two second-time and six first-time honorees.
In order to qualify as an MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a 3.00-or-better cumulative grade point average (GPA), be no lower than a sophomore in academic standing, have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received and have competed in 50 percent or more of the institution's competition in his or her respective sport.
Junior attacker Lexi Liebowitz (3.643, Danville, Calif./San Ramon Valley HS), and junior attacker Roxy Wheaton (3.335, Walnut Creek, Calif./Las Lomas HS) each earned their second-straight MPSF All-Academic selection.
Sophomore attacker Bella Baia (3.389, Orange, Calif./Mater Dei HS), sophomore utility Katrina Drake (3.461, Orinda, Calif./Miramonte HS), sophomore center Ava Johnson (3.310, Walnut Creek, Calif./Las Lomas HS), redshirt freshman attacker Alex Peros (3.565, Laguna Beach, Calif./Laguna Beach HS), junior defender Myna Simmons (3.160, Orange, Calif./Orange Lutheran HS), and sophomore defender Bella Wentzel (3.310, Lafayette, Calif./Acalanes HS) each earned MPSF All-Academic honors for the first time in their careers.
