SAN FRANCISCO โ UCLA junior guard Johnny Juzang has been named the Pac-12 Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Most recently, Juzang averaged 22.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in two games last week. He helped lead UCLA past CSU Bakersfield in the season-opener last Tuesday (95-58) and to a thrilling 86-77 overtime win versus No. 4 Villanova on Friday night. Both games took place in UCLA's Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom.

A preseason first-team All-Pac-12 selection (as announced at Pac-12 Media Day in October), Juzang was the Bruins' top scorer last season. Juzang was the only UCLA player to secure Pac-12 Player of the Week honors last season. He has opened the 2021-22 campaign as the Pac-12's first recipient of this season's weekly award.
ย
No. 2-ranked UCLA (2-0) returns to action against Long Beach State (1-0) on Monday, Nov. 15. Game time in Pauley Pavilion is set for 8 p.m. The Bruins' game against Long Beach State will be televised by the Pac-12 Network.
