UCLA Softball Announces 2022 Schedule

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA softball program on Monday officially announced its schedule for the 2022 season. There are currently 52 games listed on the schedule, including 22 home contests at Easton Stadium.
The Pac-12 Network is scheduled to televise 18 of the Bruins' 24 conference matchups, including the conference-opening series versus Arizona. Other UCLA contests that may be picked up by another family of networks will be announced when that information becomes readily available.
The Bruins' Pac-12 conference slate will return to its regular three-game weekend series format, played either from Thursday through Saturday or Friday through Sunday.
UCLA will open the 2022 campaign against Cal State Northridge on Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. (all times PST) at Easton Stadium and a double-header the next day on Feb. 11 against UC San Diego at 3 p.m. and Nevada-Reno at 5:30 p.m.
The Bruins head to Irvine, Calif., the next day to compete at the Mark Campbell Invitational at Bill Barber Park on Feb. 12 with another double-header against the reigning national champion Oklahoma Sooners at 4 p.m. and Mississippi State at 1 p.m.
UCLA's non-conference schedule is highlighted by the Bruins' return to the St. Pete Clearwater Elite Invitational from Feb. 17-20 and Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic from Feb. 24-27 after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Bruins have competed in the Mary Nutter every year dating back to 2013.

This year's St. Pete Clearwater Elite Invitational features games against Northwestern, Auburn, Texas, Wisconsin and Florida State.
At the Mary Nutter in Cathedral City, Calif., UCLA will face Big 12 foes Iowa State, Texas Tech, Baylor and Missouri as well as a matchup with Tennessee.
UCLA will compete in five games over three days from March 3-5 at the Judy Garman Classic in Fullerton, Calif., with contests against Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Fresno State, Kansas, Weber State and Texas A&M.
In the Bruins' final tune-up before Pac-12 play, they will host Pennsylvania, Cal State Bakersfield and Fresno State in the 21st annual Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament from March 10-12.
Pac-12 competition begins with a three-game home series versus Arizona from March 19-21. The Bruins will also host Oregon, Utah and Berkeley. UCLA will travel for Pac-12 sets at Washington (March 25-27), Stanford (April 8-10), Oregon State (April 22-24) and Arizona State (May 6-8).
The Bruins have three non-conference games in the midst of Pac-12 play against San Diego on April 19, Long Beach State on April 20 and Cal State Fullerton on April 27.
The 2022 NCAA Tournament begins with Regionals from May 20-22 followed by Super Regionals from May 26-29. The 2022 Women's College World Series is scheduled to run from Jun. 2-9 at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Reigning Pac-12 Coach of the Year Kelly Inouye-Perez and the Bruins enter the new campaign with 17 returning athletes, including All-Pac-12 First Team members Aaliyah Jordan, Briana Perez, Megan Faraimo and Maya Brady, All-Pac-12 Second Team member Delanie Wisz and All-Pac-12 Third Teamer Kinsley Washington. UCLA is eyeing a return to its seventh consecutive Women's College World Series.
