Dulcich Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-America Team

Redshirt junior tight end Greg Dulcich has been selected to the second team of the CoSIDA Academic All-Americaยฎ Division I Football Team.

Dulcich, who has earned a 3.52 GPA in the Political Science major at UCLA, was also a 2021 semifinalist for the John Mackey Award as the nation's top collegiate tight end. He has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team the past two years. Dulcich was a starter in all 12 games during the 2021 season and his 17.3 yards per catch average rates No. 3 among the nation's tight ends. His 60.4 yards per game average is No. 5 among all receivers in the Pac-12.

Dulcich rated second on the Bruin team in total receptions with 42 catches for 725 yards and five touchdowns this year. He registered two 100-yard games โ vs. LSU (117 receiving yards) and Arizona State (136) โ and had a season-high nine receptions versus the Sun Devils. Heย had scoring grabs in games against LSU, Arizona, Washington, Utah and Cal. Dulcich was named first team All-Pac-12 byย the league coaches, the Associated Press and Phil Steele. He was an honorable mention All-America selection by Steele.

Senior defensive back Quentin Lake and junior long snapper Jack Landherr IV were each named to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team along with Dulcich.ย Lake, who registered a 3.4 undergraduate GPA in the Sociology major and has achieved a 3.86 average as a graduate Education student, is the team leader this season in passes broken up and is tied for the team lead in interceptions.ย Landherr IV has handled all of the snapping responsibilities for the Bruin special teams units on field goals and extra points the past three seasons. He has posted a 3.72 cumulative GPA in the Political Science major.

The Bruins will return to the practice field this week as they prepare to face No. 18 NC State in the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl to be played on Dec. 28 in Petco Park.
