2022 Football Schedule Features Eight Home Games

SAN FRANCISCO โย The 2022 UCLA football schedule features eight home contests, including five conference battles, in a 12-game slate, the Pac-12 Conference announced Thursday.
UCLA will open the season Sept. 3, when it welcomes Bowling Green from the Mid-American Conferenceย to Spieker Field at the Rose Bowl. Visits by non-conference foes Alabama State and South Alabama will follow the next two Saturdays. The matchup with the Alabama State Hornets will pit UCLA against a team from the Southwestern Athletic Conference for the first time. It will also be UCLA's initial meeting with the South Alabama Jaguars, who hail from the Sun Belt Conference. Home league dates with Washington, Utah, Stanford, Arizona and USC were also announced. Times and television details for all games will be released at a future date.
Pac-12 play commences on Sept. 24, when UCLA travels to play at Colorado. It will mark the sixth straight season that the Bruins will open league play away from home. The 2021 regular reason saw UCLA ownย the best mark of any Pac-12 team in conference road contests.
The Bruins will play five games in October, starting with an Oct. 1 visit to the Rose Bowl by Washington. The Huskies will be making their first appearance in the Rose Bowl since 2018. UCLA bested Washington on the roadย by a 24-17 count in 2021. Pac-12 champion Utah will follow for an Oct. 8 date in Pasadena. The Utes will representย the conference in the 2022 Rose Bowl Game, but have not played the Bruins on Spieker Field since a 2018 tilt. After a bye week, UCLA travels to face North Division champion Oregon in Eugene on Oct. 22. UCLA will be seeking its first road victory over the Ducks since the 2004 campaign. The Bruins round out the month with a home matchup against Stanford on Oct. 29.
UCLA kicks off November on the road at Arizona State on the fifth of the month. The Sun Devils and Bruins tied for second place in the Pac-12 South in 2021. Arizona, on Nov. 12, and USC, on Nov. 19, close out a busy home calendar in the Rose Bowl. The Bruins will be looking to make it back-to-back wins over both foes in 2022. UCLA closes out the season with a game at California on Friday (Nov. 25) of Thanksgiving week. The Bruins have captured four of the last five meetings with the Golden Bears.
