Schwartz Named UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week

LOS ANGELES – JT Schwartz from UCLA Baseball has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, earning honors for May 4 – May 10.

Schwartz led UCLA's offense in a series win at Washington State. He batted .700 (7-10) for the weekend and reached base in 13 of 16 plate appearances (.813 OBP), including a Saturday performance that saw him reach in all six of his PAs. He had multiple hits in all three games of the series.

It's the first-career Student-Athlete of the Week award for Schwartz. The baseball team is back in action Tuesday evening with a matchup against LMU at Page Stadium at 6:00 p.m. PT. The Bruins have won the previous three matchups against the Lions this season by a combined score of 30-10.
