UCLA Athletics Celebrates Graduating Student-Athletes

Several UCLA standout scholar-athletes were recognized at the event, including Chancellor's Service Award winners Lia Foster (Swimming & Diving) and Chase Griffin (Football), and UCLA Scholar-Athletes of the Year Annette Goulak (Women's Tennis) and Cole Kinder (Football). Pac-12 Postgraduate Scholarships in the amount of $9,000 were presented to Ruben Soria (Men's Soccer) and Marisa Villegas (Women's Cross Country/Track & Field). Michaela Onyenwere (Women's Basketball) and Zach Pettway (Baseball) were awarded the Pac-12 Tom Hansen Conference Medal, which goes annually to each member institution's outstanding senior male and female student-athlete based on the exhibition of the greatest combination of performance and achievement in scholarship, athletics and leadership.
A total of 17 student-athletes earned recognition as winners of the Athletic Director's Academic Excellence Award for making the Director's Honor Roll every quarter at UCLA. Those student-athletes are Mitchell Agude (Football), Abi Altick (Women's Tennis), Audrey Goodman (Rowing), Annette Goulak (Women's Tennis), Valia Gregory (Rowing), Chase Griffin (Football), Cole Kinder (Football), Lexi Liebowitz (Women's Water Polo), Kennedy Meyer (Women's Track & Field), Lea Monkhouse (Beach Volleyball), Megan Muret (Beach Volleyball), Briana Perez (Softball), Shea Pitts (Football), Kendal Poston (Gymnastics), Julie Rodriguez (Softball), Evan Rosenfeld (Men's Water Polo) and Pauline Tratz (Gymnastics).
Additionally, the four-member graduating class of the Wooden Academy Champions program were honored - Abi Altick (Women's Tennis), Jackie Basham (Swimming & Diving), Kira Loren (Women's Cross Country/Track & Field), and Myna Simmons (Women's Water Polo). The Wooden Academy Champions program is a two-year comprehensive program that focuses on leadership, personal and professional development.
