LAST TIME OUT – BATTLE 4 ATLANTIS (NOV. 19-21)
The Bruins went through a gauntlet of games from Nov. 19-21, facing three teams over the span of three days at the Bad Boy Motors Women's Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. UCLA went undefeated in the tournament, claiming the championship title in Paradise Island, The Bahamas. In the first round of the tournament, the Bruins took down South Dakota State 72-65 to avenge their 2022 WNIT loss to the Jackrabbits. Senior Charisma Osborne led the way with 28 points on 10-for-20 shooting from the field in Saturday's win.
UCLA followed up its first-round victory with a scorching shooting performance from distance (16-for-30 3FG) to propel the Bruins to a 17-point win over then-No. 11/12 Tennessee. Graduate guard shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and Charisma Osborne added five threes on 11 attempts in the victory.
In the championship game on Monday, Nov. 21, the Bruins were locked in a back-and-forth battle against RV/25 Marquette until the end of regulation. The teams were tied at halftime and each scored 26 points in the second half to send it to overtime. Veteran leadership from Osborne, Conti and Camryn Brown helped boost UCLA over the Golden Eagles, capturing the trophy in overtime. Kiki Rice was the leading scorer in the game, with 18 points, adding four points in the extra period to help the Bruins win 66-58.
