Brady Selected UCLA Student-Athlete of Week

LOS ANGELES – Redshirt sophomore outfielder Maya Brady of the softball team has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, earning honors for May 31-June 6.

Brady led UCLA with a .438 batting average and seven RBI during the Women's College World Series. Her two-home run game in a semifinal game on June 6 helped the Bruins beat top-seeded Oklahoma and hand the Sooners their largest loss of the season, forcing an if-necessary game later that day. Brady's multi-home run game was the second-ever by a Bruin in the WCWS and Brady's second of her career. She finished the season with 15 HR, 53 RBI and a team-high 53 runs scored.

This is the first career Student-Athlete of the Week award for Brady.
