Charbonnet Selected UCLA Student-Athlete of Week, presented by Ready
September 27, 2022 | Football
Charbonnet matched a personal best with three rushing touchdowns and recorded the ninth 100-yard rushing game of his Bruin career, posting nine carries for 104 yards in a Pac-12-play-opening 45-17 win at Colorado. His 11.6-yards-per-carry average was aided by scoring runs of 46, 35 and 13 yards. Charbonnet is tied for 11th on the all-time UCLA 100-yard-game rushing list with Maurice Jones-Drew, Kevin Nelson and Kermit Johnson. He previously posted three-touchdown performances for the Bruins in home wins against Hawai'i and Colorado in 2021. Charbonnet also accomplished the feat against Army, while playing for Michigan, in 2019.
This is Charbonnet's first UCLA student-athlete of the week award of the season and second of his career.
