LOS ANGELES -- The MPSF announced on Tuesday that freshman utility Anna Pearson (Irvine, Calif./Orange Lutheran HS) was named the MPSF/S&R Sport Newcomer of the Week.

Pearson scored two goals and drew a team-high four exclusions in the Bruins' 13-8 home win over No. 4 Hawai'i (Apr. 2). Pearson scored both of her goals on back-to-back possessions in the second quarter with UCLA trailing 4-1, sparking a 12-4 run to finish the game. It was the Bruins' first home game in 71 days (since Jan. 20, 2023) and was UCLA's only game of the week.

This is the second career MPSF honor for Pearson.
