Harris, Lashbrooke Win Pac-12 Weekly Honors

UCLA's Selena Harris was selected the Pac-12 Gymnastics Freshman/Newcomer of the Week for the third consecutive week, and senior Chloe Lashbrooke received Pac-12 Coaches Choice honors after a nearly three-year return to the floor lineup.
Harris won the all-around and three individual event titles to help lead UCLA to a 196.900-195.825 victory at Washington in the conference opener. The Las Vegas native scored 39.725 in the all-around for the second consecutive meet to improve her season average to 39.650, which puts her at No. 3 in the nation behind only reigning NCAA all-around champion Trinity Thomas and reigning Olympic all-around champion Suni Lee. Harris scored 9.925 or higher on all four events at Washington, winning vault with a career-high 9.950 and beam with a career-high-tying 9.925, tying for first on bars with a 9.925 and tying for third on floor with another career-high-tying 9.925. In UCLA's first three meets this season, Harris has scored 9.9 or higher on 11 of 12 routines.
No. 6 UCLA will host No. 16 Oregon State in the home opener on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 3pm in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom.

Lashbrooke made her return to the competitive lineup after a long three years, contributing 9.850 to the Bruins' team total of 49.475 at Washington. Her freshman season in 2020 was cut short due to the pandemic, and she ruptured her Achilles tendon just before the 2021 season began. The Scottsdale, Ariz. native missed all of 2021 and was still recovering during 2022. This season, she made her return with an exhibition performance at the Wasatch Classic that scored 9.875 and earned her a spot in the competitive lineup at Washington a week later.
