UCLA Announces 2023 Women's Water Polo Schedule

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women's water polo team announced its 2023 schedule today, highlighted by conference home games against California (Apr. 15) and USC (Apr. 22). The Bruins will have one game televised by the Pac-12 Network (the regular season finale on "Senior Day" against the Trojans).
The Bruins will travel to USC for an exhibition game on Saturday, Jan. 14, before officially opening the season and MPSF play on Friday, Jan. 20 with a Noon start against the Indiana Hoosiers at home at Dirks Pool at Spieker Aquatics Center. The Bruins will compete in six different regular-season tournaments during the year, beginning with the UC Santa Barbara Invitational on Jan. 21-22. UCLA will face San Diego State and Wagner on Saturday, Jan. 21 before closing out the tournament on Sunday, Jan. 22 with UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara.
UCLA will travel to Berkeley, Calif., in the second weekend to participate in the California Invitational on Jan. 28-29. The Bruins will face California and UC Davis on Saturday and close out the weekend slate with Fresno State and Stanford (Exhibition) on Sunday.
UCLA will hit the road again the following weekend to compete in the Triton Invitational at UC San Diego (Friday, Feb. 3 through Sunday, Feb. 5 - teams to be announced at a later date).
The Bruins will travel to UC Irvine to square off against the Anteaters on Saturday, Feb. 11, and then take a week off before returning to Irvine, Calif., for the Barbara Kalbus Invitational (Friday, Feb. 24, through Sunday, Feb. 26).
The following week, UCLA will return to MPSF action on Saturday, Mar. 11, with a game at Stanford, followed by another league game at San Jose State on Sunday, Mar. 12.
UCLA will continue its road swing the next week as the Bruins take part in the LMU Invitational on Saturday, Mar. 18, facing Princeton and LMU.
The Bruins will finally put an end to the 70 days between home games when they host Long Beach State and Biola on Saturday, Apr. 1 at the UCLA Invitational at Dirks Pool at Spieker Aquatics Center. UCLA will conclude the weekend with a home date against Hawai'i on Sunday, Apr. 2.
UCLA will conclude its road games for the 2023 season when it returns to MPSF play with a game at Arizona State on Saturday, Apr. 8. The Bruins return home to complete the home slate and MPSF play with California on Saturday, Apr. 15, and USC on "Senior Day" on Saturday, Apr. 22.
San Jose State will host the 2023 MPSF Championship on Apr. 28-30 while Pacific will host the 2023 NCAA Championship on May 12-14 in Stockton, Calif.
