Bruins in the NFL: Week 7

A total of 17 UCLA Football alumni saw the field during the Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season. Several Bruins made impacts, on both sides of the ball.
Dynamic offensive plays came from running back Joshua Kelley (Los Angeles Chargers), who broke off a career-long 49-yard touchdown run, and wide receiver Jake Bobo (Seattle Seahawks), who made a career-long 31-yard catch while also reeling in a touchdown. Defensively, linebacker Eric Kendricks (Los Angeles Chargers), cornerback Quentin Lake (Los Angeles Rams), and cornerback Fabian Moreau (Denver Broncos) all recorded season highs in tackles.
• Krys Barnes, LB, Arizona Cardinals – Made one tackle.
Week 8: Sunday vs. Baltimore – 1:25 p.m. PT (CBS)
• Bobo, WR, Seattle Seahawks – Had the best game yet of his rookie NFL season, recording career highs in receptions (four), receiving yards (61) and longest catch (31 yards) while reeling in his second touchdown reception of the year. His second-quarter TD grab stood up as the game-winning play in a 20-10 win over Arizona. He also logged his first-career tackle after a Seattle interception.
Week 8: Sunday vs. Cleveland – 1:05 p.m. PT (FOX)
• Darnay Holmes, CB, New York Giants – Had one tackle on special teams in the Giants' win over Washington.
Week 8: Sunday vs. New York Jets – 10 a.m. PT (CBS)
• Kelley, RB, Los Angeles Chargers – Had a team and season-high 75 rushing yards on just seven carries. He did most of his damage on a career-long 49-yard rush in the second quarter, finding a seam on the left side and taking off basically untouched for a touchdown that tied the game at 10-10. It was his second rushing touchdown of the year, matching a single-season career high (also 2020, 2022).
Week 8: Sunday vs. Chicago – 5:20 p.m. PT (NBC)
• Kendricks, LB, Los Angeles Chargers – Had one of his strongest games of the year, starting and posting a season-high nine tackles while also recording one TFL and forcing a fumble.

• Lake, CB, Los Angeles Rams – Doubled his previous season-high by making six tackles in the Rams' Sunday battle against Pittsburgh. He co-led his team with four solo tackles, and was one off the lead for total tackles.
Week 8: Sunday at Dallas – 10 a.m. PT (FOX)
• Marcedes Lewis, TE, Chicago Bears – Caught one pass for 16 yards, a season long.
Week 8: Sunday at Los Angeles Chargers – 5:20 p.m. PT (NBC)
• Moreau, CB, Denver Broncos – Had a season-high four tackles, including three solo efforts, while breaking up a pass in the Broncos' win over Green Bay.
Week 8: Sunday at Kansas City – 1:25 p.m. PT (CBS)
• C Jake Brendel (San Francisco 49ers), DE Kenny Clark (Green Bay Packers), DT Matt Dickerson (Kansas City Chiefs), C Andre James (Las Vegas Raiders), OL Atonio Mafi (New England Patriots), OL Kolton Miller (Las Vegas Raiders), CB Fabian Moreau (Denver Broncos), G Sean Rhyan (Green Bay Packers) and WR Matthew Slater (New England Patriots) also played, but did not record any statistics.
