Mack Secures Pac-12 Freshman of the Week Honors

LOS ANGELES – UCLA guard Sebastian Mack has earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors for the first time this season, as announced on Monday by the Pac-12 Conference.
Mack, a 6-foot-3 freshman from Chicago, Ill., averaged 19.0 points and 6.3 rebounds in the Bruins' three games at the Allstate Maui Invitational in Honolulu last week. He scored a season-high 25 points in UCLA's 71-69 loss to No. 4 Marquette, before totaling 16 points in subsequent contests against Chaminade and No. 11 Gonzaga.
In UCLA's six games this season, Mack has scored at least 10 points in five contests. He has shot 42.4 percent from the field and 35-for-42 at the free throw line (83.3 percent).
Through his first six collegiate games, Mack has averaged a team-leading 15.8 points per game. He has also registered 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest. Mack ranks first among all Pac-12 players this season in free throws made (35) and free throw attempts (42). His 83.3 percentage at the free throw line currently ranks No. 6 in the Pac-12.
UCLA (4-2) will return to action against UC Riverside (3-4) on Thursday, Nov. 30. Game time is 8 p.m. (PT). The Bruins' contest against UC Riverside will be televised by the Pac-12 Network. UCLA's radio broadcast will be available in the Los Angeles region on AM 1150.
