UCLA Women’s Soccer Announces 2023 Spring Schedule

Defending NCAA champion UCLA will open its 2023 spring season this weekend with a Saturday, Feb. 25 game at Long Beach State at 11am. The Bruins will play six exhibition games in the Southern California area this spring, including a home game on March 9 against the Japanese University All-Star Team. Other road games will be played at Pepperdine April 8, CSUN April 12, Cal Poly April 15 and Cal State Fullerton on April 22.
Additionally, UCLA will host its spring alumnae day on Sunday, April 16.
The Bruins return eight players who started in the NCAA Championship game, including College Cup Most Outstanding Player Reilyn Turner, Most Outstanding Defensive Player and 2022 Honda Award winner Lilly Reale, and All-Tournament selections Ally Lemos and Lexi Wright. Two new freshmen, Taylor Cheatham and Milla Shafie, have joined the squad as early enrollees. UCLA's coaching staff of head coach Margueritte Aozasa, assistant coaches Gof Boyoko and Molly Poletto and volunteer coach Chelsea Tudela were named the National Staff of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches after guiding the Bruins to the national title and a 22-2-1 overall record.
