Chae Campbell Named Pac-12 Specialist of Week

Campbell tied her season-highs on floor exercise (9.950) and uneven bars (9.850 in the leadoff position) and added a 9.900 on vault to help as the Bruins recorded their highest away score in four years. With her team-best 9.950 on floor, she recorded her sixth score of 9.925 or higher in as many meets, contributing to the team's fourth 49.6+ mark on the event this season. UCLA is now ranked No. 1 in the nation on floor. On vault, she posted her fourth score of 9.900 or higher. Campbell currently ranks No. 5 nationally on floor and No. 13 on vault.
This is Campbell's first Specialist of the Week Award and her sixth overall weekly honor. She is the first gymnast in Pac-12 history to win at least one of each award, capturing one Gymnast of the Week award in 2022, the Specialist of the Week this week, three Freshman of the Week honors and one Coaches Choice award a week ago.
Joining Campbell as Pac-12 weekly award-winners are Oregon State's Jade Carey (Gymnast of the Week), California's eMjae Frazier (Freshman/Newcomer of the Week) and Arizona's Malia Hargrove (Coaches Choice). UCLA has earned at least one Pac-12 honor in each of the season's seven weeks.
The fifth-ranked Bruins compete at Arizona on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 12pm PT.
