Jones, Rice Earn Pac-12 All-Freshman Nod

SAN FRANCISCO – Freshmen Londynn Jones and Kiki Rice have been named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team for the 2022-23 season as announced by the Conference on Tuesday. The team was selected by voting from the 12 head coaches in the Conference.
Jones and Rice had each previously earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors during their first collegiate campaign. Both first year players averaged more than 10 points per game in conference play (Jones – 11.3 ppg; Rice – 10.8 ppg) and saw more than 20 minutes on the floor per game (Jones – 22.8 mpg; Rice – 27.2 mpg). The duo were two of the four Bruins who appeared in all 30 games during the season.
Jones finished the regular season with the highest three-point field goal percentage on the team (.374 3FG%, 43-115) and shot a team-best 88.2% from the free throw line. The guard ranked third in the Pac-12 during conference play in three-point percentage (.466 3FG%) and fourth in free throw percentage (.870 FT%).
Rice was second on the team in scoring (11.3 ppg), assists (2.9 apg), steals (1.4 spg) and minutes played 27.8 mpg, 834 min). The freshman averaged 4.7 rebounds per game, trailing only Charisma Osborne and Emily Bessoir on the boards. The Bethesda, Md., native was third in the conference in points scored (335 pts) among first-year players, 22nd in the Pac-12 among all players.
