Seven Bruins Earn MPSF Postseason Honors

LOS ANGELESย โ Seven different Bruinsย received postseason honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, as announced by the conference office today.
Graduate students Ava Johnson and Katrina Drake as well as sophomore Emma Lineback were all named Second-Team All-MPSF. For Johnson, it was her third All-MPSF honor in her career after being named to the First Team in 2021 and to the Second Team in 2022. Drake picked up her second honor after being selected as an Honorable Mention pick in 2020. It is Lineback's first All-MPSF selection after being named to the All-Newcomer Team a year ago.
Graduate student Val Ayala garnered Honorable Mention All-MPSF accolades. It marked the second time in her career that she was named All-MPSF after being a First-Team honoree in 2020.
A trio of Bruin freshmen wereย on the MPSF All-Newcomer Team, which included Sienna Green, Anna Pearson, and Taylor Smith.
The Bruins are currently 19-5 overall and finished 4-2 in the MPSFย are seeded third for the upcoming 2023 MPSF Women's Water Polo Championship held this weekend at San Jose State. UCLA takes on sixth-seeded Arizona State in the first round tomorrow at 12:45 p.m. PT.
