Caroline Canales Named 2-Time WGCA All-American Scholar

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – UCLA women's golf sophomore Caroline Canales has been named a Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar for the second time in her career.
Canales, an undeclared major, was also awarded College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-District this season.
Canales had another strong campaign in 2022-2023, being awarded to the All-Pac-12 First Team and ranking second on the team with a 72.9 scoring average for the second consecutive year. The Calabasas, Calif. native posted six top 10 finishes, nine top 20s and nine rounds under par. Canales' season was highlighted by the first medal of her collegiate career at The Match in the Desert where she shot UCLA's lowest individual round of the season with a 7-under 65. She finished the year ranked No. 54 in Golfweek's individual rankings.
