The UCLA women's soccer team will open the 2024 season, its first in the Big Ten Conference, on Aug. 15 with a road matchup against Long Beach State. The Bruins play their first home game three days later, hosting UC Riverside on Aug. 18. UCLA's 11-game Big Ten Conference schedule kicks off at Oregon on Sept. 14.
The Bruins will host eight games in 2024, along with an exhibition home game on Aug. 10 vs. LMU. Among the teams playing the Bruins at Wallis Annenberg Stadium are 2021 NCAA semifinalist Santa Clara on Aug. 25, 2021 and 2023 NCAA semifinalist BYU on Aug. 28 and 2023 NCAA quarterfinalist Penn State on Oct. 17.
UCLA, which officially joins the Big Ten on Aug. 2, will be on the road for its first three conference games, playing at Oregon Sept. 14, Indiana Sept. 19 and Purdue Sept. 22. In 2023, the Bruins won their 14th and final Pac-12 Conference title with a 10-0-1 record. UCLA returns seven starters, including All-American and two-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year Lilly Reale. Also returning are All-Pac-12 honorees Quincy McMahon, Sofia Cook, Ayo Oke, Jayden Perry, Sunshine Fontes and Lexi Wright. Among the experienced newcomers for head coach Margueritte Aozasa are 2023 Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year Ryan Campbell, a graduate transfer from Stanford; 2022 Pac-12 All-Freshman selection Lily Boyden, who transferred from Washington State; and 2022 All-Big Ten midfielder Meg Boade, a graduate transfer from Northwestern.
