Quincy McMahon Selected Big Ten Defensive Player of Week

UCLA's Quincy McMahon has been named the Big Ten Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, her first weekly honor from the Big Ten and sixth career conference honor.

McMahon recorded one goal and one assist to help lead UCLA to a 3-1 victory over Minnesota on Sept. 29. The senior from Carmel, Ind. assisted on the game's first goal in the 34th minute and then scored a big insurance goal of her own in the 81st minute. The goal was her first of the season. McMahon and the Bruin defense shut out Wisconsin on Thursday, not allowing a single shot on goal and only two shots total. Against Minnesota, they held Khyah Harper in check, limiting the nation's leading goal scorer to zero shots on goal and just three shots total. McMahon, one of just three Bruin players who has started in every game, has helped lead UCLA to nine shutouts in 13 games and a 0.38 goals against average that ranks seventh-best in the nation.

UCLA will host Washington on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 7pm on Senior Day.
