Peter Castillo Named MPSF West Newcomer of the Week

LOS ANGELES --ย UCLA freshman utility Peter Castillo (Costa Mesa, Calif./Newport Harborย HS) has been named the MPSFย West/S&R Sport Newcomerย of the Weekย as announced by the league office today.
Castillo scored twice in the 13-10 win at No. 3 USC (Oct. 19) and then added a career-high four goals (on four shots) in the 16-13 overtime win over No. 12 UC Davis (Oct. 20). He also had one assist, two steals, and drew three exclusions against the Trojans and then added one field block, one steal, and drew two more exclusions vs. the Aggies.
This is the first career MPSF award for Castillo.
