LOS ANGELES --ย UCLA graduate goalkeeper Garret Griggs (Riverside, Calif./Riverside Poly HS) has been named the MPSF West/Delfina Player of the Week and freshman attacker Ryder Dodd (Long Beach, Calif./JSerra Catholic HS)ย has been named theย MPSFย West/S&R Sport Newcomerย of the Weekย as announced by the league office today.
Griggs helpedย lead the top-ranked Bruins to a 16-9 regular season finaleย win over No. 4 USC (Nov. 16). Griggs registered a career-high-tying 15 saves and added one steal, while allowing eightย goals (.652) in all but 1:55 of playing time.
This is the fourth career MPSF weekly award for Griggs.

Dodd recordedย his 14th hat trick of the year with five goals to wrap theย regular season, a 16-9 win over No. 4 USC (Nov. 16).ย Dodd added two assists, two steals, and drew threeย exclusions. His 82 goals on the year leads the conference,ย and entering the postseason, ranks tied for 15th in MPSFย single-season history.
