Chinlund Signs to Join Men's Tennis Program in January

LOS ANGELES โ Blue Chip prospect Cassius Chinlund signed to attend UCLA and join its men's tennis program in January, head coach Billy Martin announced Monday.
Chinlund, a native of Los Angeles, attended Campbell Hall School in the Studio City neighborhood before taking his studies to ICL Academy. His lone season of competition at Campbell Hall saw him become one of just two freshmen to be named to the National High School Tennis All-American Team.
The past two years have seen Chinlund succeed on a number of big stages. In the spring of 2023, he downed future teammate Emon van Loben Sels 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 to collect the Easter Bowl Boys' 18 singles crown in Orlando, Fla. as the tournament's No. 5 seed. Chinlund went on to pick up the Boys' 18 doubles title alongside Stiles Brockett at the USTA National Clay Court Championships in Delray Beach, Fla. later that year.

They did a great job coming in and working on their game and getting to know our team and our coaches. I am really looking forward to Cassius and his next four or five years."
