His seven 3-pointers against Oregon State on Wednesday afternoon were the most in a game by any UCLA player since Jan. 2, 2020, when Jake Kyman connected on 7-of-12 shots from long-range in a win at Washington.

Adem Bona totaled 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting, adding six rebounds, two steals and one block.

With the Bruins up seven points, Andrews nailed his sixth 3-pointer of the night to put the Bruins ahead, 56-46, with 5:37 remaining in the game. One minute later, Lazar Stefanovic buried a triple before Andrews hit his seventh bucket from behind the arc, putting the Bruins on top by a 62-48 margin at the 2:19 mark.

Bona added a dunk with 1:14 to go in the game, sealing the Pac-12 Tournament win for UCLA. The Bruins made their free throws down the stretch to earn the 10-point win in their Pac-12 Tournament opener.

After initially trailing 7-2, the Bruins went on a 16-4 scoring run to take an 18-11 lead with 12:08 to go in the first half. Andrews and Bona paced the Bruins with seven points each during the run. Oregon State closed the gap to two, 22-20 with 5:48 remaining before Aday Mara made his second basket of the game to put the Bruins up four, 22-18.

Will McClendon added a triple, the Bruins' second of the game, giving the Bruins a seven-point cushion with 3:20 left in the first half. Andrews closed the half strongly with two 3-pointers to close the half before Bona added another point from the foul line, and UCLA led 34-22 at the end of the first half of play.

In the opening half, Bona and Andrews combined for 25 points on 8-for-12 shooting from the field. Andrews finished 3-for-4 from behind the arc, and Bona was 6-for-7 from the free-throw line. ย

Oregon State opened the second half with five quick points to make it a 34-27 game before the Bruins responded with a run of their own. Brandon Williams and Andrews made the next four baskets as UCLA went on an 8-0 run, taking a game-high 15-point lead, 42-27, with 15:39 remaining in the game.

Oregon State cut the Bruins' lead to seven, 43-36, before Andrews knocked down another clutch three, his fourth of the game, putting the Bruins back up double digits, 46-36.

The Beavers clawed their way back into the game, utilizing a 6-0 scoring run to cut the Bruins' lead to just four points โ€“ 46-42, with 9:46 remaining.
